
This week the KPP Ideas Lab welcomes Leigh Lawrence for a session titled “Ideological policy feedback loops in Chinese education reform: A positive development or a negative distraction?”, as usual on Thursday 11th November 11:00 AM .
This session will focus on works in progress and ideas that Leigh is currently developing. First, she will introduce a call for participants for a critical discourse analysis methods article she is developing. Next, the bulk of the discussion will explore ideas stemming from the final chapter in Leigh’s dissertation surrounding ideological policy feedback loops in contemporary Chinese education reform. Leigh will present a brief outline of her doctoral research, her development of the idea, existing literature, and directions in which she is planning to expand this idea.
